You don’t need to ask permission if your friends suddenly called you to have dinner with them in some crappy place in Makati or dinner over some over the top restaurant in France.
You don’t have to remember any unnecessary dates other than your own birthday.
You can roll out of bed & go anywhere without being all dolled up for somebody else.
You can just be alone with a good book on your hands, get lost while reading it and not really minding to update anyone about your whereabouts.
One night, after class, I decided to go to a mall in Shaw to catch this romantic film that I’ve been wanting to watch for the longest time.
After buying myself some popcorn and a cup of soda, I went to the ticket booth. When I told the lady that I’m only buying 1 ticket, she looked at me as if somebody just died. She handed me the ticket while giving me the weirdest almost sympathetic look on her face.
"What the hell?"I thought.
As I entered the cinema, I finally figured why.
Most of the people inside the cinema where couples hidden in their respective special corners either smooching or acting all mushy.
I found myself a seat & upon settling down, I started to nibble on my food.
"Why do people need to have a date when watching romantic films? Can’t normal people just watch for the sake of watching rather than the whole nine yards of making out?"
